New Online Course: The Culture of Medieval Violence

Examine the medieval culture of violence through a range of sources that deal with everything from blood feud and battlefield to torture and comedy. Learn about the reality versus modern pop culture and what it really means to “get medieval.”

Starting on September 19th with live classes Thursdays 11:00am – 1:00pm Eastern U.S. Time, this six-week course is run by Larissa “Kat” Tracy of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

This course will examine this “culture of violence” through a wide range of sources, covering religious and secular texts that deal with all manner of violence from blood feud and battlefield to torture and comedy.
